CER Mission
Statement
MISSION STATEMENT:
The Center for Enriching Relationships is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status ministry serving the local church as a therapeutic and biblically-based resource for encouraging and enriching marriages and families. Enriching Relationships was first incorporated in Kansas (2003) by Donald W. Welch, Ph.D., and is the official site for the San Diego Healthy Marriage Coalition. The Center for Enriching Relationships is committed to enriching local church relationships through practical application of biblical truths and respected research.
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Center for Enriching
Relationships is a nonprofit corporation offering biblical
counseling and resources to local churches at a reasonable fee.
The
purpose of the center is to strengthen marriages and families.
FUNCTION:
The Center for Enriching
Relationships is non-denominational and is not affiliated with any
particular church. We believe in the sanctity and authority of the
local church. We are pleased to provide counseling, teaching and
training that supports the ministries of local churches of a wide
variety of denominations. Our desire is to serve the local church
through offering our professional expertise in areas that may
complement the ministry strengths of pastors, partnering with them
to best serve the members of their congregations and their
communities.
STATEMENT OF FAITH:
We believe in the authority
of the Bible, Old and New testaments, as inerrant and the inspired
Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20 & 21). We believe in one
God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son and Holy
Spirit (1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2). We believe that all
who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the
Holy Spirit and thereby become the children of God. (John 1:12;
3:16; Romans 10:9-10; Galatians 3:26).
