My name is Grayson and I am a Registered Associate Clinical Counselor at the Center for Enriching Relationships and I love helping people overcome their presenting problems to foster a life of healing, wholeness, and adventure. I have spent the majority of my career in the Christian counseling space, specifically serving individuals (minors and adults) with depression and anxiety that is theologically rich, makes sense and is proven to work. In counseling, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which focuses in on thoughts that lead to undesired realities and beliefs to draw out healthy and realistic views of self and others. I also counsel those married or yet to be married using the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. Lastly, I fundamentally believe that the healing journey is a priceless endeavor that I am honored to participate in. Outside of counseling, I can be found spending time with my wife on the beach, at a third-wave coffee shop or CrossFit.
I earned my Masters of Arts in Counseling degree from Phoenix Seminary in Scottsdale, Arizona. Before seminary, I attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona and finished with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Biblical Studies. In counseling sessions, I rely on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which addresses the patterns of thinking and believing that influence present experiences. I also have completed the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy's Clinical Training 1 and 2.
I have experience in the following areas:
Men’s issues like anger management, lying and not feeling emotions.
Marriage and/or divorce
Parenting children with problematic behavior(s)
Spiritual and theological integration
