Change can be so difficult that lowering your standards for the life you want may seem like the only answer; but your hopes are important as they likely indicate that you have a greater meaning and purpose beyond your current reality.
Regardless of how you got to your present situation, the belief that healing is possible is in itself a significant step in the therapeutic process. Although the “why” might be clear, the “how” isn’t always obvious. Yet, all meaningful goals come with their own unique set of challenges. My aim is to support you in your process of healing from your past, flourish in the present, and build resilience for your future.
I work with addictions, trauma, anything holding you back, and couples in all stages who have felt stuck, experienced emotional disconnection, or the devastation of betrayal, toward healthy coping strategies and reconciliation.
Christian biblical values are the basis of my worldview, and can be incorporated in various ways. My thought process is influenced by the works of John Bowlby, Susan Johnson, The Gottman’s, Richard C. Schwartz, Patrick J. Carnes, Steve de Shazer, Marsha M. Linehan, and Daniel J. Siegel.
“The bottom line is: Your life is up to you. Take charge of it, or somebody else will.”
- Patrick J. Carnes, Ph.D.
